How to Play Daily Derby
Playing is easy. To learn how, follow these 4 simple steps.
STEP 1
Using a Lottery playslip, which you can find at any Lottery retailer, pick 3 horses to finish in first, second and third places. Then, pick your race time, which is the time it takes for the first place horse to finish. You can also select Quick Pick®, or just ask the cashier for a Daily Derby Quick Pick, and the random number generator will choose the horses and/or Race Times for you.
You can play your horse and Race Time choices for 1-7 or 14 consecutive draws on one playslip by marking the Advance Play box.
STEP 2
Pay $2 per play for each Daily Derby ticket. Your ticket is your receipt.
STEP 3
Know the draw times. Daily Derby draws take place every day, after the draw entry closes at 6:30 p.m.

Use any of these ways to see if you're a Daily Derby winner:
- Look on the Lottery website for winning numbers and prize amounts.
- Download the Lottery mobile app to see winning numbers.

You'll find Daily Derby at all Lottery retailers. Daily Derby draws take place every day, and your entry must be made before 6:30 p.m. to be eligible for that day's draw. Winning numbers are available at any Lottery retailer, through media outlets, and at Past Winning Numbers.

An Automated Draw Machine is a computer that isn't connected to any other system. In fact, any type of tampering is impossible because the hard drive can't be opened without breaking a numbered security seal and the programs that generate random numbers can't be altered.
The Lottery has 2 Automated Draw Machines for daily draws, plus a back-up machine in case there's an emergency. A randomized, unpredictable draw chooses which machine, and which randomized drawing method (mathematical algorithm or Random Number Generator) will be used. The numbers selected from either method are unpredictable and selected in an unbiased manner.
